According to 'Mirror Weekly,' in 2019 Roy Chiu spent 89.5 million TWD (about 12.89 million MYR) to buy a multi-story old mansion on Dihua Street in Taipei, which has recently been resold. It was only at the time of signing that it was discovered the owner was actually the famous star Roy Chiu. A local real estate agent revealed that it's hard to estimate the value of land on Dihua Street by regular Taipei real estate standards, and the land he sold is located right in the heart of Dihua Street. Last year, a property in a nearby alley sold for 170 million TWD (about 24.49 million MYR), so the initial estimate is that the sale price might be even higher.

In response, Roy Chiu's management company 'HiNa Entertainment' General Manager Sun Jiaqi clarified, “This isn’t Roy Chiu’s property, it’s a company asset.” She believes that during the realtor's inquiry process, Roy Chiu’s name came up because he is an artist at HiNa Entertainment, which led to the rumor. She emphasized that Roy Chiu remains focused on his entertainment career, and they are not at liberty to disclose much about his investments.
