(Sibu, 6th) Kolej Laila Taib (Kolej Laila Taib) will hold its 2026 graduation ceremony on Friday, August 7 at the Sibu campus of University of Technology Sarawak, to honor graduates for their years of hard work and perseverance in their studies. The ceremony will be presided over by the college chairman, Dato Annuar Rapaee.
As an institution of higher learning wholly owned by the Sarawak Foundation, Kolej Laila Taib has always been committed to providing high-quality and affordable higher education to students in Sarawak.
The college pointed out that, through the Sarawak Foundation scholarship and financial aid program, eligible students can receive up to 100% exemption for tuition and accommodation fees. Among these, students from B40 families can enjoy a 100% subsidy, while students from M40 families are eligible for a 50% subsidy, assisting students to complete their diploma programs with less financial burden.
In terms of further studies, the college has established collaborative relationships with several institutions under the Sarawak Foundation, including Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak, University of Technology Sarawak, Curtin University Malaysia, and i-CATS University College. Qualified graduates may apply for maximum credit transfer based on academic performance, enabling them to bridge into higher-level courses.
The college stated that it will continue to deepen collaboration with universities and industry partners in the future, providing students with more opportunities for further studies and employment, and nurturing talents equipped with both professional knowledge and job competitiveness.
On the other hand, enrollment for the college's new October 2026 semester is now open. SPM, UEC (Unified Examination Certificate of Chinese Independent High Schools), and SKM (Malaysian Skills Certificate) graduates are welcome to apply, and may find out more about the courses online or by visiting the college in person.
