Dreaming of Yoo Jae-suk and Winning the Grand Prize — Korean Man ‘Saved’ by Lottery Win

South Korea lottery issuing agency “Donghaeng Lottery” recently announced an interview with the grand prize winner of the Speetto 1000 scratch-off lottery, 104th edition. The lucky winner, Mr. A, revealed that he had an incredibly vivid dream before purchasing the ticket.

Mr. A recalled, “In my dream, I was being swept away by muddy waters. At that critical moment, Mr. Yoo Jae-suk suddenly appeared and personally pulled me to safety.” Because the dream was so realistic and felt like a great omen, Mr. A, upon waking, went straight to a lottery store in Seocho District, Seoul, and decisively purchased both Speetto and Lotto tickets.

After returning home, Mr. A scratched off the tickets with a nervous heart, and was astonished to find the words “1st Prize” really appeared. He exclaimed, “At that moment, I couldn’t tell if it was a dream or reality—I was so happy I could hardly believe my eyes.” He immediately called his daughter-in-law to share the good news. At first, she was skeptical, but after meeting up and scanning the QR code on her phone to confirm the prize amount of 500 million won (about 1.34 million ringgit), she was thrilled and offered her heartfelt congratulations. Mr. A explained that his family had been facing financial difficulties recently, so this prize money was truly “a gift from the heavens.” He plans to use it first to pay off loans and to purchase a more comfortable house for his family.

In fact, this is not the first case of someone dreaming of Yoo Jae-suk before winning the lottery. Back in 2023, a winner said their child dreamt of Yoo Jae-suk and then successfully hit the grand prize after buying the same type of ticket—as a reward, the parent even bought the child a new tablet and laptop. Additionally, others have shared that when they repeatedly dreamed of situations related to fortune, Yoo Jae-suk also appeared—and in the end, they walked away with a big prize, even leaving messages like “Thank you, Yoo Jae-suk,” allowing the topic to continuously trend online.
