Datuk Seri Zaliha, Chairperson of the PKR Election Committee, pointed out that the party's Election Appeal and Complaints Committee is conducting a thorough investigation into appeals regarding divisional election results, and therefore, the final election results will be announced after the investigation is completed.

Zaliha, who is also the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Federal Territories), said today (24th) after attending the department's Eid al-Fitr luncheon, when asked by the media about the loss of several PKR ministers and deputy ministers in the divisional elections, that the Election Committee has received the relevant complaints, and a detailed investigation is being conducted by the Appeal and Complaints Committee.

“(Can it be confirmed that they lost?) There is no final decision yet; the Election Committee has not made a final decision, and the candidates who won have not been announced.“

Regarding complaints about the election system, Zaliha stated that PKR has made the best possible use of the system for these elections, and the number of complaints is fewer than in the past.

She said that in past party elections, the Election Committee received thousands of complaints, but in this election, they have received only hundreds, which include issues related to nominations, results, and campaigns.

However, she stated that action has already been taken for most of the complaints.

Additionally, Zaliha confirmed that several divisions will undergo re-elections, and she will issue internal notices to the relevant divisions, but she did not disclose which divisions require re-elections.

According to media reports, divisions that will undergo re-elections include Selayang, Jempol, and Silam.
