‘Bittersweet to Orange’ Acting Finally Recognized – IU Wins Blue Dragon Best Actress and Breaks Down in Tears

IU’s dual-role acting in “Bittersweet to Orange” has finally been recognized. Although she narrowly missed out at the Baeksang Arts Awards before, the Blue Dragon Series Awards crowned her Best Actress, meaning IU no longer has to just accompany others as a popularity award winner.

When IU took the stage, she thanked “Bittersweet to Orange” for becoming the proudest work of her life, as well as the crew members, and all “Aechuns and Kim Myungs” in the world. The Best Actor award went to Joo Ji-hoon for “Critical Care Trauma Center.” He had already won Best Actor for this series at the Baeksang Arts Awards, and now adds another title at the Blue Dragon Series Awards. Shocked, he hurried off stage to return the trophy to its rightful owner, offering a big hug to smooth over the awkwardness—causing the whole venue to burst into laughter.

Lee Jun-young’s adorable blunder amused everyone, and Lee Jun-hyuk deftly handled his acceptance speech by saying, “People around me always say I’m quite the character, and finally, there’s a moment that made me interesting. Yoona, who partnered with Jun Hyun-moo for the fourth consecutive year as hosts, made her entrance in a blue and white off-the-shoulder dress, her flowing long hair instantly adding a touch of fairy-like air to the red carpet. However, during the photo session, as she stepped forward, she seemed to have accidentally stepped on her dress’s hem and almost fell forward, startling Jun Hyun-moo.
