White House spokesperson Leavitt stated on the 11th Eastern Time that U.S. President Trump had not yet spoken with the leaders of Cambodia and Thailand by the 11th. “If he does, as always, you will hear about it directly from him.”

Previously, on the 10th, Trump had told reporters he expected to speak by phone with both the Cambodian and Thai sides on the 11th to call for a halt to the conflict.

The Cambodia-Thailand border conflict has been ongoing since the 7th.

According to the Khmer China Times, Cambodia’s Ministry of Interior announced on the evening of the 11th that as of noon that day, due to multiple days of armed attacks launched by Thai troops, the death toll among Cambodian civilians had risen to 11, including an infant, with another 74 injured.

On the same day, Cambodia’s Ministry of Defense stated that the Thai military is still conducting simultaneous military operations in several provinces, deploying fighter jets, heavy artillery, armored vehicles, and drones to carry out intensive strikes in border areas. The Cambodian side described this as a “serious violation” of national sovereignty.

The Ministry of Education reported that the conflict has forced the closure of 909 schools in six border provinces, affecting more than 210,000 students and over 7,600 teachers.
