《Good Voice Family》 Season 6 Welcomes New Surprise: Shaun Tam Joins as Permanent Judge

The popular children and family singing program of 8TV, 《Good Voice Family》, has upgraded its lineup for Season 6. Hong Kong's versatile artist Shaun Tam officially joins as a permanent judge, alongside mentors Lai Shengming and Luo Yishi, to witness the musical growth journey of parent-child teams.
Shaun Tam, who debuted as a singing competition champion, holds a strong musical background and later successfully ventured into the film and television industry. With his approachable image and remarkable performances, he is well-loved by the audience. In recent years, his popularity in Malaysia has been on the rise. This time, being invited to participate in 《Good Voice Family》 Season 6, he will appear as a judge on the show, bringing sincere encouragement and constructive critiques to participating families, while also injecting more energy and highlights into the program.
Speaking about joining the program, Shaun Tam jokingly said, "Usually when I come to Malaysia, it's me singing for the audience. This time, it's my turn to sit and listen to my Malaysian friends sing. I know there are many people here who sing really well." As a judge, he particularly emphasized the importance of teamwork on stage: “Singing needs to sound good, of course, but chemistry is also important. I will be paying close attention to their collaboration, whether they can interact naturally on stage and cooperate well; this is also crucial."
He also mentioned that he hopes to be inspired by the performances of parent-child teams on the show and that there might be a chance in the future to form a “father-son duo” with his son to perform together on stage.

The new season of 《Good Voice Family》 unveils a major competition format change, as participating families are divided into adult and junior groups, each led by one of the two mentors, adding more variables and highlights to the stage. The program has recently completed its first round of recordings and is about to enter the exciting elimination stage, scheduled to air in early July. Stay tuned.
