(Bandar Seri Begawan, 16th) Brunei Methanol Company (BMC), continuing its long-standing tradition of supporting the community, held its annual “Aid and Care” activity today. This employee-led initiative provided essential food and household items to ten impoverished families in Kampong Sungai Liang, ensuring they can spend Ramadan and the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri with peace of mind.
This activity is not just a donation drive, but also showcases the BMC staff and management working side by side.
Led by Chief Executive Officer Mr. Jesus Enrique Mora Marin, the team personally visited each family, delivering packages containing rice, dry goods, and daily necessities to them.
BMC’s #RESPECT strategy is built on the idea that the company is a part of the community. We are honored to be able to contribute to alleviating these families' burdens at such an important time of the year.
To ensure that the aid reaches those most in need, BMC worked closely with Kampong Sungai Liang's Village Head, Mohd Haslin, who also participated in the handover ceremony.
The “Aid and Care” activity has long been a cornerstone of BMC’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) work.
By cultivating a culture of volunteerism, the company aims to create lasting positive impacts that go beyond financial donations, and to strengthen the connection between the industry and the residents of Kampong Sungai Liang.
