(Bandar Seri Begawan, 26th) The Revenue Division of the Ministry of Finance and Economy held a seminar on corporate income tax yesterday at the division’s conference room. The aim was to enhance the common understanding of tax coverage among corporate taxpayers nationwide and increase their awareness of the compliance obligations and responsibilities related to corporate income tax.
At the briefing, officials from the tax department provided detailed explanations on areas including the basis for tax assessment under Chapter 35 of the Income Tax Act, compliance in tax declarations, and tax calculation.
This meeting is part of the Ministry of Finance and Economy's ongoing efforts to further strengthen tax compliance and raise public awareness—especially among taxpayers—of the importance of corporate income tax.
