Second OCA Gender Equality Seminar to be Held on 14th-15th in Brunei

(Bandar Seri Begawan, 9th) 10 guests, including honorary executive committee members of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and members of the Gender Equality Committee, will attend the second OCA Gender Equality Seminar hosted by Brunei.

The theme of this seminar is "Watch Her Shine," aiming to empower and promote gender equality in the Asian sports field. The seminar will be held from April 14th to 15th at the Indera Kayangan Ballroom, Empire Hotel, Brunei. 19 guests from the International Olympic Committee (IOC), United Nations Women, Oceania International Olympic Committee, and International Working Group (IWG) will discuss promoting gender equality in the sports field.

This seminar is open to all 45 Asian National Olympic Committees (NOCs), particularly targeting the NOC secretaries-general and female sports members.

88 participants from 43 NOCs have confirmed attendance. The seminar aims to maximize learning outcomes, participation, and practical results. It will include a series of expert-led lectures offering foundational knowledge and strategic insights on gender equality issues in the sports domain.

After the speeches, panel discussions will be held, inviting leaders and stakeholders in the area of gender equality to participate, allowing participants to share different perspectives and experiences.

The event is co-hosted by the Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council (BDNOC) and receives logistical support from the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sports.
