TVB's 'King of Supporting Roles', Lee Ka Sing, left TVB in 2018. He and his wife immigrated to Batu Ferringhi, Penang, Malaysia, spending HK$1.5 million (about MYR 780,000) to buy a luxury seaview home measuring over 1,000 square feet, enjoying a low-key and simple retirement life. In recent years, he has completely disappeared from the screen. The last time he updated his social media was in 2023, when he uploaded a photo with Benz Hui. After that, he went completely off the radar with no new updates. However, recently, new photos of him have been circulating online, revealing his latest state as he is about to turn sixty. In the photo, aside from his slightly white eyebrows and a few faint wrinkles on his face, he looks almost the same as when he was active on camera, still exuding a mature charm and appearing in excellent shape.
Lee Ka Sing entered the industry through the 13th TVB Artiste Training Class, alongside Ekin Cheng and Margie Tsang, forming close friendships. Over his career, he has portrayed countless roles—from rapists, mentally challenged individuals, to honest and loyal men—all successfully. Among his most memorable performances are his portrayal of a perverted criminal in the film "Tuen Mun Color Demon," and the character Lei Zhenzi in "Gods of Honour." In 2018, he was forced to withdraw from the drama "The Learning Curve of a Warlord" after an accident left him with a torn Achilles tendon and ruptured artery, leading to his retirement and subsequent emigration after his contract ended.
Having worked diligently in the entertainment circle for many years, his career has had its ups and downs. In real life, he has faced four major low points: not only did he experience the passing of both his parents, but he also suffered from a congenital cerebral vascular malformation that once led to memory loss, requiring him to undergo brain surgery. Later, he was involved in a serious car accident due to drunk driving—fortunately, his life was not in danger.
