(Tutong, 12th) – The chairman of the Academic Excellence Scholarship Committee of the Tutong Chinese School Alumni Association, Cai Xinzhe, expressed that today the Tutong Chinese School Alumni Association is holding its annual presentation of academic excellence scholarships for the children of its members, with hopes of recognizing hardworking and studious students to spur their interest in learning, so they may strive harder, be more enterprising and ambitious, win greater achievements for their parents, their country, and themselves.
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank the board for their trust in appointing me as the chairman of the organizing committee, and also thank all the committee members who have prepared for this event together with me. It is thanks to everyone's unity and efforts that today's event could be held smoothly in such a lively atmosphere."
Meanwhile, a swearing-in ceremony for the new board of directors was also held today. In front of everyone, the new directors officially took their oaths and assumed their positions, continuing to serve and contribute to both the association and the alma mater. Many thanks to Brunei Chinese community leader, the distinguished Kapitan Dato Ng King Jin, who served as the guest of honor for this inauguration ceremony of the new board of directors.
He said that, as the first event of the year, it symbolizes an auspicious and remarkable new beginning.
