South Korean actress Kim Tae-hee’s elder sister, Kim Hee-won, recently had her luxury apartment seized. According to Korean media, the National Health Insurance Service of Korea seized the “Morningville Hannam” apartment in Seoul’s Oksu-dong, owned by Kim Hee-won, on the 29th of last month, but the seizure was lifted this month on the 19th. The apartment was purchased by Kim Tae-hee in 2006 for 980 million won (about MYR 2.673 million) and gifted to her elder sister Kim Hee-won in the same year. The apartment is currently valued at 3 billion won (about MYR 8.18 million).
Reportedly, the seizure was an administrative procedure due to an issue with payment of health insurance fees, but the seizure has been lifted after the fees were paid.
Kim Tae-hee's agency, Story J Company, clarified that the incident is unrelated to the actress: “Kim Hee-won currently resides in the United States and only occasionally returns to Korea. This incident occurred because she was unaware of the need to pay health insurance fees. It is completely unrelated to Kim Tae-hee.”
