The late 5th Prime Minister, Tun Abdullah Badawi, has been granted a 'State Funeral' (Istiadat Pengebumian Negara) honors in recognition of his significant contributions to the nation.
According to the arrangements, the coffin was sent to the National Mosque in Kuala Lumpur at 8 a.m. this morning for handling, followed by a public viewing and last respects ceremony held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the main prayer hall of the National Mosque.
The prayer will take place after the noon prayer (Zuhur), after which the coffin will be buried in the Heroes' Mausoleum (Makam Pahlawan) within the Kuala Lumpur National Mosque.
Regarding attire, attendees are required to adhere to the following dress code:

and a white headscarf or shawl.
Non-Muslim female visitors | Are advised to wear dark-colored modest attire, paired with a white shawl.

Furthermore, all buildings within a 2-kilometer radius of the National Mosque are to lower their flags to half-mast during the State Funeral ceremony to show mourning, until the ceremony is concluded.
Tun Abdullah passed away peacefully at 7:10 p.m. last night at the National Heart Institute (IJN) at the age of 85. During his lifetime, he was highly regarded for his gentle and approachable manner, and his 'Islam Hadhari' ideology left a profound impact on national development.
