UK think tank Asia House has released an economic outlook report stating that Asian economies are expected to continue to serve as major engines of global economic growth in 2026, demonstrating resilience amid a complex and changing geopolitical landscape.
The report released by Asia House on the 15th notes that despite turbulent geopolitical circumstances, the fundamentals of Asian economies remain solid. Robust domestic consumption, continued investment growth, and an accelerated shift towards technological self-sufficiency will strongly support regional economic growth.
According to Xinhua News Agency, Mathilda Townsend, senior analyst at Asia House and the report's lead author, said that Asia has repeatedly demonstrated resilience in a challenging global environment. Backed by solid economic fundamentals and a favorable investment environment, Asia is expected to achieve growth in 2026 and for a longer period to come.
