(Bandar Seri Begawan, 3rd) The Czech Republic has appointed Sheikh, Chairman and Managing Director of Srikandi Group, as its Honorary Consul in Brunei, marking a new milestone in bilateral relations.
The appointment was signed by Czech Republic's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jan Lipavský, and was officially delivered on April 30th by the Czech Ambassador to Indonesia and Non-Resident Ambassador to Brunei, Jaroslav Doleček.
To celebrate this appointment, senior government officials from the Czech Republic, diplomats, business leaders, and people from various sectors attended a friendly dinner recently held at the Radisson Hotel, showcasing the increasingly close ties and shared vision between the two countries.
In his speech, Sheikh thanked everyone for their trust and reiterated his commitment to promoting cooperation in various fields such as trade, education, tourism, culture, and humanitarian exchanges.
“This appointment is not only an honor but also a responsibility that I sincerely and proudly undertake. I look forward to building bridges that benefit the people of both countries and contribute to lasting friendship and cooperation.”
