On January 18, 2026 (Sunday), His Majesty successfully underwent a total right knee replacement surgery at the center and has completed his treatment smoothly.
Accompanying His Majesty upon discharge were Her Majesty the Queen Consort and members of the royal family.
Before departing the medical center, the country's State Religious Adviser Ustaz recited prayers for safety.
Cabinet ministers and deputy ministers were also present to bid farewell to Their Majesties the Sultan and Queen.
His Majesty also expressed deep gratitude to the people and residents of Brunei, both domestic and abroad, including students and citizens of various countries, for praying to Allah for his swift recovery, complete health, and lasting well-being. At the same time, His Majesty extended sincere thanks to the heads of state, government leaders, and royal families of various countries for sending congratulatory messages and best wishes during his treatment.
Meanwhile, His Majesty also thanked the medical specialists and team at Jerudong Park Medical Centre, as well as the officials and staff of the center, for providing excellent and attentive treatment and care during his hospitalization.
