General Cooper, Commander of US Central Command, said on the 5th that the US military has sunk or destroyed more than 30 warships and struck an Iranian drone carrier.
He held a joint press conference with Secretary of War Hegseth at the headquarters of US Central Command in Tampa, Florida. US Central Command is primarily responsible for US military operations in the Middle East.
Cooper said: "Just in the past few hours, we struck an Iranian drone carrier, which is about the size of an aircraft carrier from World War II. As we speak, it is already on fire."
He pointed out that Iranian ballistic missile attacks have decreased by 90% compared to the first day of US operations, and drone attacks have decreased by 83%. The US military is destroying Iran's ballistic missile industrial facilities and will also destroy its rebuilding capabilities. In the next phase of operations, the US military will systematically destroy Iran's future missile production capabilities.
Hegseth stated that the US military has eliminated most of the Iranian navy's power and established complete dominance in the sea and air.
He pointed out that the US military has ample ammunition, and reserves of defensive and offensive weapons are sufficient to support this operation.
