(Bandar Seri Begawan, 2nd) The Standards and Accreditation Centre (PSABD) under Brunei's Ministry of Finance and Economy, in cooperation with the Department of Agriculture and Agri-Food (DoAA) under the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism, held a promotional event yesterday at the Rimba Horticulture Business Centre.
The aim of this event was to promote the following seven newly released national standards:

The purpose of this promotional event was to introduce and announce to the public and stakeholders the seven newly released national standards, which will be implemented in the local agricultural industry.
During the event, Senior Assistant Officer Mohamad Noor gave a report on the importance of standards, and Mohamad Khasin, an officer from the Department of Agriculture and Agri-Food, spoke about the role of the department in formulating the standards. This was followed by Mohamad Faa’e from the Standards and Accreditation Centre, who gave a presentation on the contents of the seven newly released standards.
It is hoped that these standards can provide general reference and guidance for importers, exporters, academic researchers, policymakers, as well as members of the public involved in various sectors of the food supply chain and agricultural activities.
This promotional event attracted relevant stakeholders from both the government and private sectors, including farmers, supermarket representatives, crop suppliers, importers and exporters, higher education institutions, cooperatives, as well as officers and staff from PSABD and DoAA.
The event concluded with the promotion of the seven newly released national standards, in line with the initiatives of the Accreditation Centre and the Department of Agriculture and Agri-Food under the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism.
