On the occasion of Chinese President Xi Jinping's state visit to Vietnam on the 14th, he published a signed article in the Vietnamese "People's Daily" stating that China always considers Vietnam a priority in its peripheral diplomacy and called for China and Vietnam to jointly firmly uphold the multilateral trading system, maintain the stability of global industrial and supply chains, and uphold an open and cooperative international environment. He also emphasized strengthening coordination within mechanisms such as East Asian cooperation and the Lancang-Mekong cooperation to inject more stability and positive energy into a world intertwined with changes.

Titled "Like-minded and Moving Forward Together, Writing a New Chapter", Xi Jinping stated that currently, changes in the world, the times, and history are unfolding in unprecedented ways, as the world enters a new period of turbulence and transformation.

Xi stated that facing the rise of unilateralism and protectionism, the Chinese economy faces challenges head-on, achieving a 5% growth in 2024, contributing about 30% to global economic growth and continuing to be a significant engine for the world economy. The Chinese new energy industry, artificial intelligence, and animation and film industries are globally eye-catching. China will persist in high-level opening up to offer more opportunities to the world and promote joint development through its own high-quality development.

Xi conveyed that China always prioritizes Vietnam in its peripheral diplomacy. This visit marks his fourth visit to Vietnam since he became the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China and President of the People's Republic of China, and he looks forward to working with Vietnamese leaders to outline a new blueprint for building a China-Vietnam community with a shared future in the new era.

He emphasized that building a strategically significant China-Vietnam community with a shared future aligns with the mutual interests of both countries and is conducive to regional and even world peace, stability, and development. Both sides should comprehensively deepen the construction of the China-Vietnam community with a shared future and make positive contributions to peace, stability, and development in Asia and worldwide.

According to a report by China News Service, from April 14 to 18, Xi Jinping is making state visits to Vietnam, Malaysia, and Cambodia, marking the first foreign tour of the Chinese head of state this year. During his visit, Xi will hold talks with Su Lin and meet with Vietnamese President Liang Qiang, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and National Assembly Chairman Tran Quinminh.

During a written speech upon his arrival at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, Vietnam on the 14th, Xi mentioned that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Vietnam, as well as the "China-Vietnam Cultural Exchange Year," ushering in new development opportunities for building a China-Vietnam community with a shared future.

Xi said that the two countries, as socialist neighbors connected by mountains and waters, form a strategically significant community with a shared future. In the years of struggle for national independence and liberation, both sides fought side by side and supported each other, fostering a deep friendship characterized as "profound Vietnam-China camaraderie, camaraderie plus brotherhood." On the path of exploring a socialist road consistent with their respective national conditions, both sides learn from and support each other, moving forward hand in hand, showcasing the bright prospects of the socialist system to the world. During his state visit to Vietnam in 2023, both sides announced the construction of a strategically significant China-Vietnam community with a shared future, ushering the relations between the two parties and states into a new stage.
