National Calligraphy Competition Award Ceremony Preparation Enthusiastically Showcases Talents from Various Schools

(Bandar Seri Begawan, 16th) Since the opening of registration for the 2025 National Calligraphy Competition, it has attracted enthusiastic participation from students of various schools, with a lively response. According to the organizer, the overall quality of this year’s submissions has improved, fully demonstrating the achievements of campus calligraphy education in the local community. The judging work has already been completed earlier, and the judges have given high praise to the students’ performances.

This year's competition is co-organized by the Brunei Chinese Arts and Culture Association and Chung Hwa Middle School. Yesterday afternoon, President Sun De'an presided over a preparatory committee meeting to discuss all details regarding the award ceremony, which will be held at 2:00 PM on November 23 in the Peace Hall of Chung Hwa Middle School, Brunei. This included discussion of guest invitations, venue decoration, program arrangement, and media promotion. President Sun expressed gratitude to directors and members for taking the time to attend, and hopes that with collective effort, the awards ceremony will be successfully presented.

Committee members present at the meeting included Chen Lizhen, Xing Xiuzhu, Lin Meiyu, Lin Yuantai, Zhan Xingmin, Lin Jingyi, Pan Weifang, Hu Yinfang, Huang Daoyan, Chen Yiqin, as well as invited director Zhu Yunli. Preparatory Committee Chairperson Chen Lizhen made suggestions on the ceremony flow and task allocation at the meeting, ensuring that the activity proceeds smoothly and orderly on the day.

President Sun stated that they will continue to maintain communication with various schools to ensure the smooth progress of the ceremony, allowing award-winning students and parents to participate in a solemn and culturally rich environment. Members of the preparatory committee also emphasized that reception and order arrangements will be well-managed on the day of the ceremony to guarantee the smooth running of the event. The meeting ended in a pleasant atmosphere, and President Sun once again called for close cooperation among directors and members to jointly promote the development of local culture and the arts.
