‘Call Me by Fire 6’ 30-Person Lineup Leaked — Surprising Appearance of ‘6 Taiwanese Male Stars’

With the broadcast of Chinese reality show ‘Sisters Who Make Waves 2026’ (Sisters 7) stirring up discussion online, the preparations for another program, ‘Call Me by Fire 2026,’ also seem to be quietly underway. Just yesterday (22nd), a list of male celebrity participants went viral online, surprisingly featuring six Taiwanese male stars, including even the ‘Godfather of Love Songs’ Steve Chou.

On the 22nd, many entertainment accounts on Weibo circulated a suspected cast list for ‘Call Me by Fire 2026,’ comprising a total of 30 male artists including Dicky Cheung, Leo Ku, Steven Ma, among others. The group covers singers, actors, internet creators, and even new-generation idols. Notably, there are six Taiwanese artistes on the list, including Peter Ho, Yellow, Steve Chou, Jiro Wang, as well as Yan Ren Zhong and Li Binbin, both long developing their careers in mainland China.

Praised as the “Godfather of Love Songs,” the 56-year-old veteran musician Steve Chou is known for several classic hits such as ‘Dusk,’ ‘Notebook,’ and ‘Blue and White Porcelain,’ and has composed chart-topping tracks for female superstars like Na Ying and Kelly Chen. This April, he signed with Sony Music, released a new song ‘Meeting Again,’ and held a concert tour, showcasing his ambition for a showbiz comeback.

Now 50, Peter Ho started out as a model and idol singer before making his mark in Chinese-language dramas. His memorable performances in works such as ‘Wind and Cloud,’ ‘Young and Dangerous 6: Winner Takes All,’ and ‘The Legend of Chu and Han’ won wide acclaim, and in recent years, he successfully transitioned to directing. Interestingly, although Peter Ho himself did not act in the popular Chinese drama ‘Chasing Jade,’ because of a male star’s makeup in the show (Linghe Zhang), netizens nicknamed him “Foundation General,” which unexpectedly led people to rediscover Peter Ho’s masculine portrayal of Xiang Yu in his early days and pushed him back into the spotlight. As a result, he landed 6 brand endorsements.
