Additional RM100 Million Aid for Gaza After Same Amount Allocated Two Years Ago, Says Anwar

(Kuala Lumpur, 25th) Prime Minister and Finance Minister Dato' Seri Anwar announced that the government will allocate an additional RM100 million in humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, continuing to support the Palestinian people in weathering the crisis.
This is the second time the government is extending its assistance, after approving the same amount two years ago.
Anwar made the announcement during his keynote speech at the "Malaysia Stands with Gaza and Night of Prayers" rally held last night (24th) at Dataran Merdeka. The event was jointly organized by the Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organizations (MAPIM) and the MyCARE – Save Gaza Malaysia Organization, sponsored by the Prime Minister, and attracted thousands of participants.
Anwar emphasized that despite the international community's frequent calls for human rights and democracy, it stands idly by when it comes to Palestine, while Malaysia has always firmly fought for the destiny of the Palestinian people.
He revealed that Malaysia previously assisted two groups of injured Palestinians to come to Malaysia for medical treatment, most of whom returned home after recovery. The children currently still in our country are provided with education, living support, and basic services.

"I will continue to encourage businesses and partners to support Palestine. Although there have been much assistance in the past, the Zionist regime has destroyed most of these efforts."
Anwar called on large enterprises to reflect on the peace and freedom enjoyed in Malaysia and to actively provide support for the suffering people of Palestine.
In a subsequent Facebook post, Anwar condemned the atrocities of Zionists, pointing out that Gaza is experiencing "the cruelest and most inhumane colonial rule", and stressed that Malaysia will continue to speak up for Palestine on the international stage.
He wrote: "This is not human behavior, this is the act of beasts! Everything has been plundered—land, houses, families, and lives."
Earlier, the Prime Minister also officiated the flag-off ceremony for the "Nusantara Resilience 2025 Gaza Relief Team," a team made up of representatives from Malaysia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives, the Philippines, and Thailand.
