While attending a brand event, Sandra Ng revealed that her and director Peter Chan's daughter, Chan Shizhi, has been admitted to study performing arts at her top choice—one of America’s top 10 universities. She will officially start school in September. Sandra expressed how proud she is of her daughter and said she’ll work even harder to earn her daughter’s tuition.

Previously, Sandra Ng was constantly flying between the UK and Hong Kong in order to look after her daughter, who was studying in the UK. After 19-year-old Chan Shizhi graduated high school, she applied to several universities. Sandra, however, was not aware of the details until her daughter asked her to accompany her to a university interview—only then did Sandra realize how well her daughter had planned her own future.

In the end, Chan Shizhi was admitted to her dream school, one of America’s top 10 universities. Sandra Ng did not disclose the name of the school, but mentioned that it only accepts 18 students each year. Her daughter is now one of those 18 new students, which Sandra said is even harder than winning the lottery. In fact, aside from this university, her daughter received offers from several other schools, some offering her scholarships. Perhaps influenced by her parents, Chan Shizhi has a special interest in performing arts and chose a university with a performing arts program. Sandra Ng is very happy that her daughter is pursuing her dreams.
