(Bandar Seri Begawan, 3rd) Kinmen County Council Speaker Hung Yun-Dien hosted a farewell banquet to entertain the 94-member youth delegation returning home from the 'Kinmen Charter Flight Direct to Brunei' group.

The farewell banquet was held on September 29 at the Evergreen Laurel Hotel's Grand Lake Hotel. This visit was led by Dato Seri Lim Chang Choon, President of the Brunei Taipei Overseas Chinese Association, who, together with the delegation, participated in the 'Kinmen Charter Flight Direct to Brunei' homecoming group, arriving in Kinmen on the 26th of this month for a five-day, four-night itinerary including courtesy calls, visits, and family reunions.

The group paid a courtesy visit to the Kinmen County Government, where various overseas Chinese affairs and business exchanges took place. Dato Seri Lim Chang Choon and his delegation showed great interest in the development of Kinmen. Deputy County Magistrate Lee Wen-Liang warmly received the guests, presenting an overview of Kinmen's recent situation, key administrative achievements, and future policy directions.

At the farewell banquet, Kinmen County Council Speaker Hung Yun-Dien especially thanked fellow countryman Dato Seri Lim Chang Choon for organizing the group's visit to Kinmen. He also expressed hope that more overseas Chinese would organize similar tours back home to promote Kinmen's tourism and investment sectors.

The Kinmen County Government is planning to visit Brunei in early November to facilitate face-to-face exchanges with local overseas Chinese communities, bringing Kinmen's warmth and development blueprint to the diaspora. The county government is also actively promoting the 'Young Overseas Chinese Roots-Seeking Group', encouraging younger generations to return to their ancestral homeland and develop a strong sense of kinship.

Dato Seri Lim Chang Choon, President of the Brunei Taipei Overseas Chinese Association, also expressed gratitude to Council Speaker Hung Yun-Dien for his warm hospitality. Notably, among the delegation, 70 members made a special trip to Xiamen for sightseeing and then attended the farewell banquet upon their return that evening.

The banquet was held in a cordial atmosphere, with both parties exchanging souvenirs and enjoying karaoke entertainment. Speaker Hung Yun-Dien even performed songs such as 'The Moon Represents My Heart' and 'Goodnight Song' as an encore.

Before the delegation left Kinmen, Section Chief Fang Xiaoping specially arranged for use of the airport VIP lounge and presented them with copies of the 'Kinmen Daily News', which delegation members took home as mementos of their visit.
