(Miri, 9th) Deputy Minister of Tourism of Sarawak, Datuk Sebastian Ting, inspected the headquarters of the Miri Artists and Visual Arts Association today.
During a media interview at the meeting,Sebastian Ting stated that the headquarters received an allocation of 100,000 ringgit under the Village Transformation Plan for upgrades and renovations.
He expressed hope that with this center, the local art and culture could be more comprehensively developed, while also providing a venue for related activities or exhibitions.
He also hopes that the center can attract not only local artists but also artists from neighboring countries or other regions to visit for interaction and experience sharing.
Additionally, the president of the Miri Artists and Visual Arts Association, Noel Bululok, stated that having the headquarters allows for more talented children to be discovered and taught.
Reportedly, the project started on December 12 last year and was completed on March 17 this year.
