(Miri, 30th) — The former Miri Municipal Council building located on Jalan Kingsway will be redeveloped into 'The Hall', a cutting-edge medical research center, spearheaded by Imasa Dinasti Sdn Bhd in partnership with Fudan University of China.
According to reports from the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), Teo Ah Khing, founder and chairman of Imasa Dinasti, stated that the project aims to revitalize this historically significant building by transforming it into an innovative center that integrates traditional Chinese medicine with modern medicine, positioning Miri as a regional hub for medical research and innovation.
He said, “This transformation project reflects our commitment to preserving cultural heritage, driving innovation in life sciences, and fostering international cooperation through sustainable development and smart technology.”
On another note, Dr. Abdullah Zulkipli, Consul General of Indonesia in Kuching, and his wife Gusti Nirmala, visited Miri on Tuesday (October 28th), and commended Imasa for its contributions to strengthening regional cooperation through high-impact development initiatives.
During the visit, Abdullah also toured the Kenyalang Smart City (KSC) project office located in Senadin, where Teo Ah Khing personally briefed him on the project's progress.
This visit underscored Imasa’s vision of driving regional growth through smart city development and sustainable infrastructure.
Imasa expressed confidence that this cross-border collaboration will further enhance connections between Indonesia and Sarawak in medical innovation, education, investment, and cultural exchanges.
Abdullah reaffirmed that Indonesia will continue to deepen bilateral cooperation with Sarawak in trade, investment, education, and human resource development.
