(Bandar Seri Begawan, 6th) The fourth meeting of the first council of the Chinese Charity Association of Brunei was held this morning at the Kindness Care Association Premises in Zhu Zhu Commercial Building, discussing the construction of a crematorium.
The meeting reviewed sketches proposed by voluntary architect Andrew Koh Shu Fanglong and designed in consultation with relevant parties; at the same time, nearly ten suppliers were compared and prioritized to identify preferred cremator manufacturers for the next round of negotiations.
The financial report showed that caring donations from all sectors have so far reached 750,000, only half way to the target. President Sun Shengli also called on all sectors to continue their strong support, as the board members remain steadfast in completing this highly anticipated charitable initiative.
President Sun Shengli personally donated 10,000 in the name of his family as a gesture to encourage more contributions.
