(Kuching, 11th) The 10-day "Eksesais KEKAR MALINDO" 48AB/2025 series, held from November 1st to 10th, has successfully achieved its objectives, consolidating and enhancing the bilateral cooperative relationship between the Malaysian Army (TDM) and the Indonesian National Armed Forces Army (TNI-AD).
According to a statement issued by the Headquarters of the Malaysian 3rd Infantry Brigade (MK 3 Bgd), this bilateral exercise was represented by the 13th Battalion of the Royal Malay Regiment (13 RAMD) for the Malaysian side, while Indonesia was represented by the 641st Battalion (Yonif 641/Beruang) under the 19th Infantry Brigade (Brigif 19/KH).
Throughout the exercise, both sides engaged in knowledge exchanges and shared experience in infantry combat theory, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP), thereby strengthening mutual military understanding and coordination.

The joint exercise, themed "Counterinsurgency Operations" (Peperangan Melawan Insurgensi, PMI), involved a total mobilization of 65 officers and 510 other rank members from both armies. It concluded with a live simulation attack in the Bayai area of Sri Aman.
The closing ceremony was held at the parade ground of the 13th Battalion, Royal Malay Regiment, and was jointly officiated by the 1st Division Commander of the Malaysian Army, Major General Dato’ Khairul Anuar Abd Aziz, and the Inspector of the 12th Regional Command of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, Brigadier General TNI Agus Firman Yusmono. The event included a symbolic ceremony of removing the "Exercise Toha insignia" to officially mark the end of the exercise.
The implementation of this exercise is in line with the Malaysian Army's 30th Commander's "Excellence Directive" Fifth Core, namely "Defense Diplomacy Transformation," aiming to continuously strengthen joint training cooperation with friendly nations.
