(Bandar Seri Begawan, 15th) Thirty-six children of Wen Chung Alumni Association members have been recognized by the association.
The awarding ceremony for the 2025 Academic Excellence Incentive Scholarships was held solemnly at the Zeng Rui Ji Hall on the second floor of the Wen Chung Alumni Association building.
This event aims to acknowledge the outstanding academic performance of members’ children and encourage them to bravely embrace future challenges in the new era. The theme for this year’s event is, “Kindling Wisdom for a New Journey, Cultivating Talent for the Future Together.”
Present at the event were Wen Chung Alumni Association President Lim Wei Fa, Deputy President Lim Yuan Tai, Vice Presidents Lim Da Hui and Lim Wei An, among others. Invited guests included Wen Chung Board Chairman Yang Dezhen, Dr. Zeng Rui Ji, Sun Shengli, Huang Minghan, Bao Pingsheng, Sun De'an, Chen Xianfu, and Wei Bofu.
President Lim Wei Fa pointed out that this theme is closely aligned with the current context of rapid development in artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technology. As technology continues to change the way we learn and work, education is not only about imparting knowledge but also about fostering innovation abilities, intellectual literacy, and character development. The alumni association hopes that by setting up this scholarship, it will inspire young students to enhance their adaptability and continuous learning capabilities, enabling them to progress steadily in the tide of technological advancement.
During the awarding ceremony, a total of 36 member children were recognized. They are Yang Weixuan, Zheng Yuhan, Qiu Zihan, Situ Haili, Zeng Weizhi, Song Yong'en, Xu Kaijun, Sun Kaixin, Wang Keqi, Lin Xinghui, Lin Yibang, Chen Zhongyang, Lin Qinkai, Lin Yiliang, Lai Jiancheng, Chen Weiping, Chen Jiahui, Huang Jingying, Hu Xiuling, Lai Xiaohan, Lin Qianhui, Lin Haoyang, Liu Guocheng, Lin Citing, Wu Xinting, Wu Jiaqin, Lin Liyuan, Zheng Yuqing, Sun Kairen, Liu Jiayu, Xu Kaixin, Ma Yingxin, Qiu Chenyu, Chen Liqi, Song Junyi, and Chen Wanxuan.
In addition, the organizers arranged a luncheon at the event, providing attending members, their families, and alumni with a platform to foster exchanges and deepen friendships.
