(Thailand, 14th) – On the 13th, Thai Prime Minister Anutin stated in an interview with the media at the Bhumjaithai Party headquarters that the government currently has no plans regarding the reopening of Thai-Cambodian border checkpoints. He emphasized that everything must prioritize the interests of the people and national security.
According to China News Service, Anutin said that the border checkpoints can only be reopened when it is ensured there is no risk of armed confrontation or conflict. He revealed that, in the future, he would present policy directives to the Minister of Defense, including mine clearance and disarmament in border areas to ensure the safety of the public. He stated that only through a combination of negotiations, military deployment, and flexible measures can true peace be achieved.
