Brunei sent a delegation consisting of seven athletes and two coaches to participate in the competition. The head coach was Li Hui, with female coach Zhao Chunjie. This invitational gathered wushu athletes from Oceania and surrounding countries, as well as the Commonwealth, making it one of the largest specialized wushu events in the region in recent years. Although the Brunei delegation was small in number, the athletes prepared diligently in both routines and weapon events, going all out and displaying excellent athletic status and sporting spirit.
According to the organizing committee, this competition not only provided teams with a platform to compete and share experiences but also bore the important mission of showcasing wushu's ornamental and competitive value to the International Olympic Committee.

In 2021, the IOC confirmed that wushu would be an official event at the 2026 Dakar Youth Olympic Games, marking a key step toward Olympic inclusion. All parties look forward to continuous promotion in the Oceania region to create more favorable conditions for wushu's eventual entry into the 2032 Brisbane Olympic Games.
Prior to the competition, the Brunei delegation's coach stated: “We hope that through this competition, more people will see the power and beauty of wushu, and that we can contribute to wushu's early debut on the Brisbane Olympic stage.”
