DAP Northern Sarawak-Picklers Friendly Match: Alan Ling – Cross-Sector Exchange Fosters Mutual Trust

(Miri, 28th) – The Pickleball Friendly Match co-organized by the Democratic Action Party (DAP) and the Northern Sarawak Journalists’ Association was successfully held last night at the PARAGON Club in Senadin, providing a relaxed platform for interaction.
Sarawak DAP Socialist Youth Chief Alan Ling, in his speech, stated that the friendly match was not only a sporting event, but also an important opportunity to promote communication, build mutual trust and deepen understanding between politics and the media.
He said that politicians have the responsibility to speak for the people, while the media is the conscience and watchdog of society. If both parties interact based on mutual respect and cooperation, it will definitely promote healthier social development.
Alan Ling pointed out that the scene of athletes encouraging each other and cooperating well on the court symbolizes the same need for collaboration and trust in their respective roles, in order to better bring benefits to the people.
He emphasized that this friendly match not only brought energy and meaning to the event, but also fully demonstrated the value of cross-sector exchanges.
"A healthy democracy cannot exist without an independent media and responsible politics. We believe this friendly match is just a starting point, and more cross-sector interactive activities will be held in the future to bring everyone closer, foster consensus, and jointly build a better Sarawak."
In addition, Alan Ling also represented Malaysia’s Deputy Minister of Communications, Teo Nie Ching, in handing over a RM3,000 grant to the Northern Sarawak Journalists’ Association to support the organization of activities.
