Dudong Chinese School Graduation Ceremony Sends Off Students on a New Journey

(Sibu, 24th) Dudong Chinese School held its annual graduation ceremony in grand style at the main hall on November 22, sending off the graduating Primary Six and Kindergarten students.
The ceremony began at 8:30 a.m. Students arrived at the school first, followed by members of the Board of Directors, parents, and distinguished guests entering the hall one after another. The atmosphere on-site was solemn yet warm. Attendees at this ceremony included Board Chairman Sun Shengli, First Vice Chairman Zhang Chengji, Second Vice Chairman Wen Weiye, Secretary General Huang Linming, Treasurer Mao Niansen, Director Cai Zhonglin, Parent-Teacher Association Chairman, Principal Yan Ye, and all faculty and staff.
At 9 a.m. sharp, the ceremony officially commenced with the singing of the national anthem and the school song in an atmosphere of solemnity. Principal Yan Ye delivered the welcoming address, congratulating the graduates and thanking the parents and staff for their contributions. This was followed by a speech from Board Chairman Sun Shengli, encouraging the students to continue working hard in the next stage of life and to contribute to society.
Graduating student representatives, Chen Jialin and Kaishan, delivered speeches in Mandarin and English respectively, expressing their gratitude towards the alma mater and teachers, and recalling wonderful memories of learning at the school. Afterwards, the school awarded Primary Six graduation certificates, marking the official completion of primary education for the students. To showcase their talents and gratitude, the Primary Six graduates presented an energetic graduation dance, "Dreamers", while the Blue and Purple classes of Kindergarten Three performed the sign language song "Thankful to Teachers" and the dance "Guruku Tersayang" respectively. The brilliant performances won enthusiastic applause from the audience. The ceremony also saw the presentation of a number of awards, including Academic Excellence Awards for Kindergarten and Primary School, the 2025 Annual Scholarships, Long-term Service Awards for teachers, and Student Service Awards to honor those who excelled in academics and service.
In addition, the school also presented certificates to students who won awards in the 7th National On-Site Primary School Chinese Creative Writing Competition and the National Calligraphy Competition, fully demonstrating the school's rich achievements in academic and cultural activities.
Dudong Chinese School's 2025 Primary Six Assessment Exam results have been announced, with an overall pass rate of 82% this year. In this exam, there were a total of five students who achieved 5A grades and three students who achieved 4A grades. The students awarded prizes by the school were Lai Tianci (5A), Erlina (5A), Ye Weiqing (5A), Ailisha (5A), Kaishan (5A), Amberly (4A1B), Zara (4A1B), and Qisha (4A1B) to recognize their outstanding performance. The school affirmed all students' efforts and encouraged everyone to keep striving for even better results.
It is worth mentioning that the graduating student representatives presented a commemorative gift to their alma mater, expressing their deep affection for the school. Afterwards, all Primary Six graduates sang "He Ni Yi Yang" (Just Like You) together, and expressed their thanks and farewells to each teacher with a handshake, making for a touching scene.
The ceremony ended perfectly with group photos and a gathering meal shared among board members, faculty, and graduates. This graduation ceremony not only marked a perfect conclusion to the students' primary school life but also sent them off with the sincerest blessings as they embark on new journeys.
