(Kuala Lumpur, 8th) Deputy Prime Minister Dato' Sri Fadillah pointed out that the government will continue to strive to provide assistance, protection, and support to women in our country, and create a safe space.

He posted on Facebook, saying that even if women are working and contributing behind the scenes, they are also important pillars of the nation.

"The roles and achievements of women should continue to be affirmed and valued, as this is the first step to breaking stereotypical perceptions of women's status in society."

"On the occasion of International Women's Day, let us continue to cherish and elevate the role of women as key partners in shaping the nation's future. Empower women, strengthen the nation. Happy Women’s Day."

Fadillah mentioned that in Malaysia, women continue to play an important role in family, education, the economy, and social leadership.

He said that although many women are educators of the next generation and drivers of social change, more efforts must still be made to strengthen women's well-being, safety, and equitable opportunities to help them address current challenges.

He said that Women's Day is not only a day of celebration, but also a recognition of the great sacrifices made by women. They contribute not only to their families but also to society, the country, and even the international community.

"While we celebrate women, we should also realize the real challenges many women still face around the world. Social, economic, and political gaps still exist and require attention from all parties. In addition, issues of violence and conflict also have a major impact on women and children."
