Matt Brown, who participated in the famous American survival reality show “Alaskan Bush People,” was recently reported dead at the age of 43. According to US media reports, Brown raised public concerns during a livestream in May, when he was seen wandering aimlessly through a small town in Washington State, speaking incoherently to the camera and behaving strangely before disappearing altogether. After the news came out, many celebrities who had worked with him expressed their condolences, and numerous drama fans also posted messages of remembrance.

Born in Shanghai in 1938, Wei initially played mainly bit parts. His notoriety grew following his acclaimed performance as Sima Yi in “Romance of the Three Kingdoms” in 1994, and in 1998 for playing Gao Qiu in “Water Margin.” His intense acting gave him a unique place in the entertainment industry and earned him a reputation as a “villain specialist.”

69-year-old veteran Taiwanese Hokkien (Taiyu) singer Zheng Xiuyue, who made famous such folk songs as “Niuli Song,” “June Jasmine,” “Thinking of You,” “It’s Getting Dark,” “A Bird’s Cry for Help,” and film & TV songs like “Diary of Love,” “White Love,” “Unspoken Love,” “Happy Holiday,” and “Spring Tide,” was reported to have passed away peacefully due to illness. Her close friend Yang Kuei-mei confirmed the sad news. In recent years, she suffered from lung adenocarcinoma; although her condition had been under control, it relapsed about a year ago, and despite treatment, she eventually succumbed to the illness. Her husband Ho Yingzhe and singer daughter Ho Iqi were both deeply affected and handled the funeral arrangements low-key.

Early in her career, Zheng Xiuyue worked in a packaging factory. Later, she won a singing contest and was noticed, signed to a record company, and launched her singing career, carving out a place in Hokkien music.
