After Lee Ka-ding (Lee Ka Ding) publicly released an audio recording yesterday (the 8th) of his eldest son Lee Wing-han (Lee Wing Han) asking him for money, the incident continues to escalate. In response to his father's accusations, Lee Wing-han retaliated, claiming that his younger brother Lee Wing-ho (Lee Wing Ho) was actually behind the whole matter, and released several more recordings in response. In these recordings, Lee Ka-ding himself mentions being “softly confined” by Lee Wing-ho and his wife, suffering verbal abuse and financial restrictions, and even revealed that his daughter-in-law Agnes once “reprimanded” him over her concerns about his spending, causing much public discussion.
Regarding his own firm tone and poor attitude in the recordings, Lee Wing-ho admitted today that the content was true, but explained that at the time it stemmed from his father's long-term financial support of his elder brother despite repeated attempts to stop it—leading to conflicts between father and son.
Lee Wing-ho also spoke on behalf of his wife, explaining that at the time his father’s accounts were in chaos and his spending was unusual, which raised their concerns.
He stated: “The accounts were truly chaotic. It was tens or even hundreds of thousands being given away at a time, and no amount of persuasion made a difference. My wife found it unreasonable for an elderly man to spend that much money, so she carefully checked each account item, hoping to clarify the situation.”
Regarding Lee Wing-han’s ongoing accusations that he and his wife controlled their father’s bank account, even allegedly embezzling HK$3.4 million (about RM1.7 million), Lee Wing-ho issued a public rebuttal, demanding his brother produce solid evidence. He said: “He keeps mentioning the HK$3.4 million—if there is truly direct evidence, show it. Don’t just keep insisting I took HK$3.4 million.”
All Parental Assets Handled Solely by Lawyers
Additionally, on the 8th, Lee Wing-ho explained details of taking over his father’s affairs, saying that the main purpose was to protect his father’s assets and ensure his peace of mind in his later years.
He emphasized that all of his parents’ assets and inheritance will be handled by accountants and lawyers in the future, with everything conducted according to legal procedures.
