On behalf of the Sarawak government and the people of Miri, Sebastian Ting thanked James Ling and his team, the municipal council, and staff for this initiative.

Today, the Miri City Council personnel and the 35-person team dispatched by Shin Yang Group, along with 10 10-ton trucks and 2 Bell Teleloggers, carried out the cleanup work.

The cleanup efforts started in areas such as Sungai Adong, Tanjung Batu, and Senadin, with other affected areas to be addressed in the coming days. The focus of the operation is to remove damaged furniture, mattresses, clothing, and appliances to help residents recover from the disaster.

This collaborative effort highlights the commitment of local government and private sector partners to ensure the swift recovery of the Miri community.
