Recently, Song Yuqi, a Chinese member of the South Korean girl group "i-dle" (originally (G)I-DLE), got involved in a controversy over her remarks. She sparked debate after complaining on a show about having to pay for her own concert tickets. In response, she formally apologized at the press conference for the release of the new album on the 19th.

At the press conference, Song Yuqi stated that every time she appears on a variety show, she tries to cheer everyone up by intentionally being more animated, saying, "It's not that I didn't consider the fans; I know that without fans, concerts wouldn't happen."

She admitted to reading all the comments and felt very sorry, saying, "That wasn't my intention, I just wanted to joke about the company being stingy." Regarding the joke about her company that backfired, Song Yuqi said, "I truly understand the importance of being cautious with words and actions. Please don't misunderstand, and if any fans were hurt by my comments, I am really sorry."

The leader, Miyeon, also added, "Song Yuqi is a member who really cares about the fans, she just wanted to create some humor because it's a variety show."

Previously, Song Yuqi, along with Minnie, appeared on an online show where she blurted out, "I can't understand why we have to pay out of our own pockets to buy tickets for our own concerts?" complaining that each person can only get 4 free tickets and has to pay for the rest.

Her comments triggered dissatisfaction among some fans who criticized "enjoying privileges" and "even if we have money, we can't buy tickets", causing quite a stir.#
