(Bandar Seri Begawan, 20th)—In response to the 13th World Chinese Writers Conference organized by the Miri Chinese Writers Association in East Malaysia, led by President Hsu Ching Ping and his team, which will be held in Miri from April 24th to 26th, 2026, the Brunei Chinese Literary Federation will send a delegation led by President Tan Lee Ching and seven committee members to participate in various conference activities and exchange programs in Miri.
The seven committee members traveling to Miri include President Tan Lee Ching, along with Zhu Yunli, Lin Yuantai, Zhang Wenfa, Zhan Xingmin, Lin Meiyu, and Li Fenghe. Due to schedule arrangements, the seven members will not attend all conference activities throughout, but will be present at the opening ceremony as well as selected meetings, forums, and exchange sessions.
For some of the committee members, this remains a rare opportunity—not only to meet Chinese writers, literary workers, and authors from around the world, but also to engage in literary exchanges, share experiences, and learn from each other, further broadening their horizons and strengthening mutual ties.

Tan Lee Ching stated that the World Chinese Writers Conference brings together writers who have long been committed to Chinese literary creation and promotion from all over the world, making it a highly meaningful international literary event.
This time, the Brunei Chinese Literary Federation hopes that by organizing a delegation, not only to strengthen its ties with overseas Chinese literary organizations, but also to take the opportunity to absorb more developmental experience for literature, injecting new energy into Chinese literature in Brunei. According to available information, the World Chinese Writers Association (abbreviated as "WCWA") was founded in 1992 and has been in existence for nearly 34 years.
Its predecessor was the "Asian Chinese Writers Association" established in 1981. After years of development and growth, the "WCWA" has become a major international platform for global Chinese writers, long committed to promoting Chinese culture and advancing the development and status of Chinese literature internationally.

President Hsu Ching Ping indicated that this year's conference will be themed "Literature as the Foundation, Creativity as the Guide," with hopes to further promote the development and innovation of Chinese literature through literary forums, keynote speeches, and diverse exchange events. The 13th World Chinese Writers Conference will be held in Miri and is expected to attract writers, scholars, and representatives of literary organizations from multiple countries and regions.
During the conference, in addition to keynote speeches, literary forums, and exchange activities, a platform will also be provided for Chinese writers worldwide to share creative insights and discuss directions in literary development.
