Cambodian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Chum Sounry stated on the 6th that the Thai side's legal action accusing Cambodia of "using military force and weapons to violate Thai sovereignty and causing substantial loss of life and property to Thai civilians and military" is groundless.
At a press conference, he said that the legal action Thailand intends to take is baseless, politically motivated, and lacks convincing evidence. Cambodia strongly opposes the allegations and reiterated that Cambodia did not provoke any hostile activities.
He stated that despite constant provocations, Cambodia remains committed to peace and is fully complying with the ceasefire agreement.
On the 5th, Thai government spokesperson Chai Wacharonke said that Thailand's acting Prime Minister Puttan had instructed at a cabinet meeting that day for all relevant departments to draft legal documents, and to file both criminal and civil lawsuits at domestic and international levels against Cambodia for "using military force and weapons to violate Thai sovereignty and causing substantial loss of life and property to Thai civilians and military."
