(Bandar Seri Begawan, 23rd) The Information Department, through its National and Communication Strategy Unit under the Tutong District Branch, recently held a patriotic seminar at the Sayyidina Abu Bakar Secondary School in Tutong District.
This seminar took place in the school's library auditorium, attended by over 96 Year 7 students, and was presented by Tutong District Information Department officer Mohamad Nukrah.
The content of the patriotic seminar included "Our Sultan, Patriotic Songs, and Flag Raising Ceremony." The seminar covered the history and relevant procedures behind these, while also playing patriotic videos, animations, and the origin and development of the national anthem, allowing students to gain a deeper understanding of the meaning of national symbols through both visual and auditory experiences.
The above activity is one of the Information Department's initiatives to instill the spirit of loyalty to the monarch, religion, race, and patriotism among the youth. By promoting patriotic songs and the national flag, the seminar aims to strengthen students' unity and patriotism. At the end of the seminar, students also participated in a patriotic quiz session, where those who answered correctly received prizes. Acting deputy principal Mohamad Amino and school staff attended and listened to the seminar.
