On the eve of the July 1st Party Founding Anniversary, the CCP released statistical data showing that as of the end of last December, the total number of party members had surpassed 100 million.
The Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee released on the 30th the “Statistical Bulletin on Party Membership within the Communist Party of China” (hereinafter referred to as the “Bulletin”), which shows that as of December 31, 2024, the total number of CCP members stood at 100,271,000, a net increase of 1,086,000 compared to the end of 2023, representing an increase of 1.1%.
According to the “Bulletin”, the CCP currently has 5.25 million grassroots organizations, a net increase of 74,000 compared to the end of 2023, up by 1.4%. Among these, there are 306,000 grassroots party committees, 330,000 general party branches, and 4,614,000 party branches.
The “Bulletin” also released information on the gender, ethnicity, and education level of CCP members, stating that there are 30.995 million female members, accounting for 30.9% of the total membership; 7.734 million members from ethnic minorities, accounting for 7.7%; and 57.786 million members with a college degree or above, accounting for 57.6%.
