A fire broke out on the 17th in a residential area near Drammen, a city in southern Norway, destroying more than 100 homes.
Drammen is the capital and largest city of Buskerud County, Norway, located about 50 kilometers west of the Norwegian capital Oslo.
The fire occurred in a row house residential area, with thick black smoke engulfing the entire region. More than 60 firefighters took part in extinguishing the fire, and authorities also deployed helicopters to drop water.
As the fire continued to burn and spread to the surrounding forests, police evacuated hundreds of people.
The cause and ignition point of the fire are still unclear.
