Brunei Police Sign Vehicle Leasing Agreement – Five Years of Support to Strengthen Enforcement Capabilities

(Bandar Seri Begawan, 3rd) The Royal Brunei Police Force today held a signing ceremony for a five-year vehicle supply and leasing contract at the banquet hall of the Gadong Police Headquarters. The contract covers the provision of vehicles and services for security and law enforcement agencies.
The Royal Brunei Police Force procured vehicles on behalf of the government and signed a five-year vehicle supply and leasing contract. Acting Permanent Secretary (Law and Security) at the Prime Minister’s Office, Zulhusam, attended as the guest of honor and signed the contract on behalf of the government. Also signing on behalf of the Royal Brunei Police Force was Police Commissioner Sulaiman; on behalf of the Land Transport Department (JPD), the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC), Nazri; representing the Narcotics Control Bureau was Zailani; and representing the Internal Security Department (JKDN) was Sulaida.
Also present to witness the signing ceremony were Deputy Police Superintendent Prince Saifullah, as well as directors and senior officials from the Royal Brunei Police Force and other law enforcement and security agencies. At the ceremony, the security and law enforcement agencies signed agreements with three designated suppliers and service providers: Syarikat Samakday Sendirian Berhad (represented by Director Sii Lik Hung), Carserve Company (represented by General Manager Thomas Ling Siu Leh), and Inchcape Services Sendirian Berhad (represented by Director Haji Ahmad).
According to the agreement, a total of 304 rental vehicles will be provided, including sedans, SUVs, vans, buses, light trucks, and double-cab pickups, among various other models.
This agreement is also part of the Fiscal Consolidation Program (FCP), jointly spearheaded by the Prime Minister’s Office (JPM) and the Ministry of Finance and Economy (MOFE), aimed at improving government spending efficiency and strengthening public-private sector cooperation. Through the signing of this contract, it is hoped that support will be provided for the daily operations of law enforcement and security agencies and enhance their readiness to fulfill their duties. This initiative reflects the government’s ongoing commitment to ensuring that facilities and support resources are always adequate and aligned with current needs.
