The actor Fong Kong (Leung Fong Kong), known as the 'Imperial Villain,' was reported today (31st) to have passed away. His godson, Wong Hon Cheung, posted an obituary online stating: 'Mr. Fong Kong passed away suddenly on the morning of May 30, 2025, at the age of 78. Mr. Fong Kong was not only an outstanding actor but also a senior who cared for and mentored the younger generation and was passionate about artistic creation. Fong Kong acted in numerous Hong Kong TV and film productions, memorably playing villain or senior roles in the '80s and '90s in works such as 'Look Out, Officer!', 'Her Fatal Ways', 'To Be Number One', and starred in many classic series such as 'The Final Verdict', 'Greed of Man', 'The Turbulent Decade', and 'The King of Drama'. In the '90s, he left the Hong Kong entertainment circle to pursue opportunities in the Chinese market and has been enjoying a comfortable life in recent years. He once shared online about living in a luxurious house in China, with a stone lion at the entrance and lavish interior decor. However, a few years ago, he was diagnosed with obstructive lung disease and acute heart failure, entering a dangerous phase but fortunately recovering afterward. He claimed to have been single for many years but was accompanied by his godson Wong Hon Cheung, often sharing 'family photos' on social media.
