The Kuwaiti Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy issued a statement on social media on the 17th, saying that a power generation and seawater desalination facility in the country was attacked by Iran, causing severe damage to the facility and multiple generator units.
The statement pointed out that the attack also triggered a fire at the plant. Firefighters have brought the blaze under control, and technicians are rushing to repair the damaged units. Relevant departments are continuously monitoring the operation of the national power grid.
Strikes on US Military Facilities in Kuwait and Jordan
The public relations department of the Iranian military issued a statement on the 18th, saying that the Iranian military launched strikes against multiple US military facilities inside Kuwait and Jordan.
According to the statement, the Iranian military used attack drones to strike an ammunition depot at a US military camp in Kuwait, the command center and ammunition storage facilities at the Salam US military base, as well as multiple communication lines of the US military within Kuwait.
The statement indicated that the Iranian military also used drones to strike a US military base fuel storage facility located in Azraq, Jordan.
