163 Civil Servants Awarded Loyal Service Medal—Sibu Division Recognizes Long-Term Contributions

(Sibu, June 8) — A total of 163 civil servants from 17 government departments and agencies were awarded the Sibu Division Loyal Service Medal in recognition of their dedication and contribution to Sarawak’s public service.
 
 The medals were presented by Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari at an award ceremony held yesterday in Kuching.
 
 Leading the recipients is Sibu Deputy Resident Shafri Sehli, who has served for 28 years.
 
 Among all honorees, 11 departments and agencies fall under the Sarawak state government, while 6 belong to federal government departments and agencies.
 
 Beneficiaries include 14 from the Sibu Divisional Office, 13 from the Sarawak Forest Department, 4 from the Sarawak Public Works Department, 18 from the Sarawak Land and Survey Department, 10 from the Sarawak Agriculture Department, and 15 from the Sibu District Council.
 
 Additionally, 1 person from the Sarawak Islamic Religious Department, 2 each from the Sarawak Veterinary Services Department, the Sarawak Syariah Judiciary Department, the Sarawak Immigration Department, and the Sarawak National Registration Department also received medals.
 
 Meanwhile, there are 12 recipients from the Sarawak Natural Resources and Environment Board, 3 from the Sarawak Rivers Board, 7 from the Royal Malaysian Customs Sarawak, 6 from the Sarawak Information Department, 24 from the Sarawak Health Department, and 28 from the Sarawak Education Department.
 
 At the same event, three civil servants were specially commended for their outstanding 37 years of service record, namely Philip Sanjan from the Sarawak Agriculture Department, Abdul Latip Onsen from the Sarawak National Registration Department, and Dacy Christopher Ugot from the Sarawak Education Department.
