(Bandar Seri Begawan, 3rd) The Brunei Land Department reminds the public, especially non-citizens and permanent residents holding land rights in Brunei, to comply with Section 3B and Section 3D of the Land Code (Amendment) Order 2025 by submitting land rights declaration applications.

The Land Department issued a statement yesterday stating that the land rights declaration procedure is scheduled to start on August 1, 2025, for a period of one year. With only five months remaining, the deadline will be July 30, 2026.

Applicants may directly submit the declaration forms to the relevant district Land Department where the land is located. For land located in the Brunei-Muara district, submission can be made to the Land Registration and Strata Title Section on the first floor of the Land Department.

The statement also reminds the public that if they have any questions, they may contact or visit their respective district Land Department during office hours for consultation, to ensure the declaration is completed in accordance with the law.
