(Bandar Seri Begawan, 24th) The opening ceremony of the 3rd Asian Youth Games 2025 was held yesterday at the Bahrain Exhibition Center.
Guests attending the opening ceremony included Prince Sufri Bolkiah, President of the Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council, who is also an Honorary Executive Committee Member of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA).
The 3rd Asian Youth Games will be held from October 22 to 31, 2025, with more than 4,000 young athletes from 45 Asian countries competing in 26 sports.
In this edition of the Games, Brunei will send 5 athletes to participate in two sports events: aquatic sports (swimming) and golf.
This is the country's third time participating in the Asian Youth Games. The last time Brunei took part was in 2013, at the 2nd Asian Youth Games held in Nanjing, China.
